5/22/09: Student Charlene (Florida) requests prayer for her daughter Kristen. Recently had her gall bladder removed, but saw something around her small intestine area. CT scan did not show anything, but is getting a second review from a radiologist. They have decided that she has an abnomality. The small intestine has shifted to the right and there is a growth (cyst or mass) about 2 inches by 10 inches under her stomach. There will be another test (22d) to determine exactly what it is and if an operation is necessary. Thank you for all prayers in advance.

5/2/2009: Student Gabriel (Texas) requests prayer for employment and financial issues. Asking that the Lord will provide wisdom to do His will.

4/20/2009: Student Kim (Germany): Multiple medical issues (Shoulder, Abdominal tumor, Painful fibroid tumors near arm pits). Praise: Breast cancer has been ruled out. Keep Kim in your prayers for these issues.

4/20/2009: Update from student Lisa (Texas): Found out that radioactive iodine treatment last year has caused damage to teeth and gums and will cost thousands to prevent further damage. Prayers for good stewardship.

4/20/2009: Hi Dr. Bob. Thank you for the kind card. I had surgery on Wednesday; they took the left portion of my thyroid and so far have not found any more cancer. They will continue to have pathology biopsy the left side and if anything changes they will let me know. The surgeon believes when the hospital did the original biopsy they took the cancer and that is why we cannot find any more in the thyroid. (I am believing for a healing) Either way I am so glad they cannot call me and say they need to take more!

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers through this. It has been a very humbling experience. God Bless Student Tammy (Minnesota)

4/16/2009: From Debby (Washington): I received my biopsy results yesterday and it appears I do have breast cancer. I am going in for surgery on April 23. I know God is in control and this is a new journey for me. I am surrounded with love and support and many friends who have just gone through this and have come out fine.

4/2/2009: Please add to your prayer list a dear & special friend of mine. Her name is Lynn (New Albany, IN). She writes...I suffered a massive heart attack a few weeks ago. Can you believe this? I have been so healthy all my life and this happened. I am doing wonderfully now, and feel better each day. I have a stent in my heart now. Of course, you can imagine the shock and disbelief I am going through and deep depression. I praise God I am alive and will certainly take each day more seriously, caring about what matters and removing what doesn't. Certainly hope all is well with you. I will write more later. Please keep me in your prayers.

4/2/2009: Good after noon all this is Daryl from NCCA's Shipping Dept my Wife Betty and I just came back from my Wife's Dr. we found out today she has a large tumor in her uterus it is probably benign but the Dr. has recommended a full hysterectomy due to the size of the tumor, I am praying for a victory in Jesus name that she will not have to go through this surgery and that she will have a complete and miraculous recovery, could you please put her on your prayer lists. Thank You and GOD Bless.....Daryl & Betty Walters

3/10/2009: I wanted to ask everyone for their prayers on a few situations this week. My niece is having surgery on her eyes tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 8:30. This is the second surgery she's had on her eyes. Her eyes are going cross-eyed and this will be the attempt to correct this. She is 11 months old so her mother (my sister) is a little nervous about her going through this again. So please pray for my niece and sister. My niece's name is Kerah and my sister's name is Kerri. My wife's best friend is having a hysterectomy on Wednesday. Please pray for that as well. Her name is Jennifer. My wife's father is having surgery on Thursday to remove a kidney. They found some cancerous tumors on one of his kidneys and they feel the best way to deal with it is to remove the whole thing. His name is Ken.

Thank you in advance for your prayers......Michael (Student)

2/28/2009: Texas student (Carrie): Husband is recovering from surgery. Her 12 y/o son is having health problems and may possibly have to have a surgery to reconstruct his chest. His chest is too shallow to allow proper function of lungs and heart, causing pain due to the compression. Please cover this family with your prayers.

2/22/2009: Indiana student (Gloria) is having surgery on March 2d. She is asking for prayer for quick healing to move on. Thank you.

12/28/2008: Illinois student (Jodi) has asked for prayer. She has been having weakness in her hands and legs and is being scheduled for an MRI and MRA, along with a Neurology consult to see what is going on. Please join us in prayer for Jodi, through this process. Thanks.

12/6/2007: Texas student (Lisa) has asked for prayer. She found out today that she has a tumor in her thyroid. A biopsy is scheduled for Monday (12/10). Pray hard.

8/17/2007: Dear Fellow Students, Some months ago, I was misdiagnosed with osteoarthritis in both my hands. I was given the wrong type of medication and my situation got worse. Now, the doctors are retesting me. They claim I have most of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. I am a mother, music school teacher and music minister. I rely heavily on my hands. I have been asking the Lord, "why is this happening to me?." "Why am I getting swelling on the hands that worship you?." Cooking, cleaning, picking up dishes, pots and pans, etc. The list goes on and on! I am taking 4 MG's of methylprednisone every day and it helps the swelling. This medicine is only temporary. The doctor will be putting me on something else. I will be going back to work in September and hope to be able to handle the everyday tasks. Please pray for complete restoration and healing. I will also keep in prayer all those that have posted prayers requests...Miriam

6/24/2007: From Jewel. I would like to request your prayer intercession: I am trying to pursue Allegra's Bag of Dreams; Restoration on the Water as my sole livelihood and blessings. I would like you all to touch and agree for the Holy Spirit's intervention for guidance, seed investment, and anointing. This ministry is celebrating it's 10th anniversary next year, and I prophesy a secret amount it will have by next June/2008. Also, God willing, I will be trying to complete my Pastoral Christian Counseling post degree by August of 2008. Thank you, my brothers and sisters under the Blood, for your prayers and lifting up for my strength and forward march in this hard journey I have had to endure for the past 7 years. I will continue to seek His face and presence in every aspect of my life and ministry. I pray for you as you pray for me for continued renewal and revival to touch your lives and cities. Stay in TRIPP mode (Thanksgiving, Rejoicing, Interceding, and Perpetual Praise.

6/4/2007: From Lori in West Virginia. I have two prayer requests. My step-son just went back to Iraq after a two week R&R. His wife, who is staying with my mother, is really having a hard time since he left. We have been pouring out the love of Christ on her but right now she is the walking definition of inconsolable. Also, my daughter Leah, is scheduled to have surgery for an epigastric hernia on June 13th. I am praying for a miracle that the hernia will repair itself before the surgery.

6/3/2007: My husband's mom has just found out that she has lung cancer in both lungs. She will be having tests this week and will see what the next step is. Rhonda in Texas.

5/31/2007: I wanted to ask for prayer for my grandmother, Sharron Flud.....She came down with pneumonia and then she went to a nursing home for a while. The doctors are saying that her lungs are wasted and there isn’t much they can do. Keep me in your prayers also. This has been a little difficult for me to see her go downhill so much and so fast. One other thing about this that I’m struggling with: She believe in God, she has been baptized, she owns a Bible and she did take her kids to church regularly when they were younger. But (with) her current lifestyle it (is) hard to find evidence of a Christian lifestyle. Thank you all for your prayers about this. In Christ, Michael

5/17/2007: Hi Dr. Mangus. My prayer request is for my mom. She has 80% blockage to her right kidney, needs B-12 shots twice a week, and has a nasty case of Bronchitis. No invasive treatment will be attempted at this time. The risks at 88 years of age out weights the benefits. Medication will continue to be used to help control high blood pressure which is largely due to the blockage and irregular heart beat. Deb W.

5/16/2007: Carol in Florida was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, has had a double mastectomy, and will begin chemotherapy treatments this month. Anyone who has had, or knows of any woman who has had to deal with breast cancer can understanding the devastating effects; emotionally and physically. Please lift up Carol and her family as they go through the healing process.

5/11/2007: I am requesting prayer for my grandson Jacob. He was hit by a car while riding his bicycle and is in intensive care with multiple fractures. Thank you. Emma in Phoenix Arizona
